Moneytax can provide general taxation services for PAYG and self employed workers. We can assist in the preparation and submission of all of your taxation documents.
The service operates on the following basis:
- All interviews and work will be performed at Moneytax offices. To make an appointment, phone or fill out the appointment request form provided by this link.
- The services provided include:
- interview
- preparation and lodgement of the return
- estimate of tax payable/refund
- copy of tax return for your records
An agreed fee will be charged for the services provided by Moneytax. This will be based on the amount of work involved in the preparation of the documents
Please Remember:
Please bring the following details with you to the interview:
- Copy of your previous return - if a new client
- Income tax file number (TFN)
- Income
- PAYG Summary
- Details of interest earned, account number, name of financial institution, tax deducted by bank
- Pension/Unemployment advice from Centrelink
- Details of eligible termination payments
- Details of any asset sales that may be subject to Capital Gains Tax
- Details of dividends received including imputation credits available
- If you have a rental property:
- total gross rent received
- details of all expenses incurred on the property
- Details of any other income.
- General Deductions
- Work related private motor vehicle use
- Travel and accomadation
- Protective Clothing/Uniforms replaced and cleaned
- work related self education
- Any expenses necessary to earn your income eg. professional journals, travel expenses. Union Fees
- Donations
- Tax Agents Fees
- Dependants' Rebates
- Spouse's income if less than:
- $6,422 with no dependant child
- Details of dependant's income if claiming Family Tax Benefit
- If a sole parent, income of dependent child.
- Spouse's income if less than:
- Medical Expenses
Applicable if total expenditure on Medical, Hospital, Chemist, Dental, Optical, and other Medical items exceeds $1,500 after fund reimbursement.
Where both spouses are taxpayers, one should pay all the family medical expenses and claim on their return to maximise the rebate. - Medicare Levy
- Levied 1.5% of taxable income
- It is necessary to know your spouse's taxable income
- Relief is granted to low income earners and some taxpayers with specific exemptions eg. health card holders
- Details of private health insurance cover.
- Family Tax Benefit information
Substantiation
If you are a taxpayer claiming employment-related deductions totalling more than $300, you must have the necessary receipts and records to substantiate your claim.
